Subject

The poster describes some variants of nitro compound reduction suggested by authors in the scientific literature. The focus is on the description of different ways of nitro compound reduction to nitroso, hydroxylamine and amine derivatives. One of the interesting aspects of the poster is the description of photocatalytic reduction of nitroaromatic compounds to amines using a nano sized highly active CdS photo catalyst. Among the discussed methods are selective reduction of halo nitro compounds using [ Rh] / DHTANa] as catalyst in an aqueous bi-phase system, reduction of nitroaromatic compounds on the surface of metallic iron reduction, reduction of organic nitro compounds with iron hydroxide and others.
Key words: reduction, nitroaromatic compounds, catalyst
