Subject

Nanoparticles of zinc oxide (ZnONPs) demonstrate unique optical, physical and antimicrobial properties. The immobilization of ZnONPs on solid surfaces or incorporation in solid matrix provides stability and thus facilitates the reuse of NPs. Zeolites represent an attractive "green" and low cost material for preparing stable and equally sized NPs. The aim of this study was to investigate some parameters influencing the Zn2+ uptake process and thermodynamics and kinetics of the ions' removal process.
