Subject
In recent years, there has been an increase in the market penetration of so-called "counterfeit medicines" in the EU and globally. These products usually contain sub-standard or fake ingredients, or contain no relevant ingredients, or contain ingredients or active ingredients that are incorrectly or erroneously dosed. Counterfeit medicinal products spread on illegal roads but the main purpose is legal channels and distribution chains for manufacturers / importers, wholesalers and retailers (pharmacies and drugstores). Counterfeit drugs are a significant threat to human health and their entry into the market can lead to a loss of trust in public health. The EU's intention to combat counterfeit medicines finds its practical expression in Directive 2011/62 / EU of 8 June 2011 introducing measures to prevent the entry of falsified medicinal products into legitimate distribution chains. Despite the introduction of new regulations on the EU market and Bulgaria respectively, counterfeited medicinal products continue to be detected. We present algorithm for identification a fake medicinal product.
