The report presents possible innovative solutions to improve the pharmaceutical service. A new trend has been outlined to shift the focus from the drug - as a product to the human being - as a whole subject. Reasons for disrupting the relationship ‘patient - doctor - pharmacist’ is sought in freedom of choice and overestimated health culture. The worsened quality of the pharmaceutical service in small municipalities and remote settlements is linked to limited access to health care, the lack of pharmacies and vital medicines. The decision requires the development of an electronic platform, distributing the activities in the pharmacies as consulting, information, production and commercial. A special place is devoted to innovative systems for tracking health indicators and the results of targeted or conducted remote treatments, using modern means of sending information. Emphasis is placed on developing a uniform standard of good medical practice, providing a common information system with the possibility of mutual exchange of information and consultations in real time. The innovations are directed towards the establishment of pharmacies-information centers (EPIC). The multifunctional model of these centers presents the possibility that pharmacists can directly consult medics when appointing treatment. Tasks are assigned to establish contacts with social assistance services in providing medicines to patients in certain groups. The creation of a fund to the National Health Insurance Fund is aimed at the additional financing of EPIC. The results of improving the pharmaceutical service are presented as a challenge that opens up new horizons.
